APSC Transport Department Recruitment 2024: The Assam Public Service Commission (APSC) on behalf of the Govt. of Assam has recently released an official notification inviting interested and eligible individuals for recruitment to 18 (eighteen) Motor Vehicle Inspector (MVI) positions in Assam Transport Department. Pay Scale: Rs. 22,000/- to Rs. 97,000/- along with other allowances
Qualification: HSLC/HSSLC with 3 (three) years Diploma in Automobile or Mechanical Engineering from a recognized Institute of Govt. of Assam/Govt. of India and also duly recognized by AICTE.
Age Limit: The candidate should not be less than 21 years of age and not more than 38 years of age as on 01-01-2024. The upper age limit is relaxable as under:-
- • 5 (five) years for SC/ST candidates i.e. upto 43 years.
- • 3 (three) years for OBC/MOBC candidates i.e. upto 41 years.
- For Ex-Servicemen, the maximum age shall be 50 (Fifty) years for Unreserved category, relaxable further by 3 (Three) years for OBC/MOBC candidates and 5 (Five) years for SC/ST candidates.
- • 10 (ten) years for Person with Disabilities (PWD) irrespective of SC/ST/OBC/MOBC and General category of candidates.
