SSC CHSL Exam 2024 Notification has been announced and the online procedure has started from 8 April, 2024. Interested candidates can visit the new SSC website and register themselves for the Combined Higher Secondary Level Examination till 7 May, 2024.

Post Name & Salary

1. Post Name: Lower Division Clerk (LDC)/ Junior Secretariat Assistant (JSA)
Pay Scale: Level-2 (Rs. 19,900-63,200)

2. Post Name: Data Entry Operator (DEO)
Pay Scale: Level-4 (Rs. 25,500-81,100) and Level-5 (Rs. 29,200-92,300)

3. Post Name: Data Entry Operator, Grade „A
Pay Scale: Level-4 (Rs. 25,500-81,100)

Educational Qualification

• For Data Entry Operator (DEO)/ DEO Grade ‘A’ in Ministry of Consumer Affairs, Food & Public Distribution and Ministry of Culture: 12th Standard pass in Science stream with Mathematics as a subject from a recognized Board or equivalent.
• For LDC/JSA and DEO/DEO Grade ‘A’ (except DEOs in Department/ Ministry mentioned above): Candidates must have passed 12th Standard or equivalent examination from a recognized Board or University.

Nationality/ Citizenship

A candidate must be either:
(a) a citizen of India, or
(b) a subject of Nepal, or
(c) a subject of Bhutan, or
(d) a person of Indian origin who has migrated from Pakistan, Burma, Sri Lanka, East African countries of Kenya, Uganda, the United Republic of Tanzania(Formerly Tanganyika and Zanzibar),Zambia, Malawi, Zaire, Ethiopia and Vietnam with the intention of permanently settling in India.

Age Limit

According to the SSC notification, the candidates should not be less than 18 years of age and not more than 27 years of age as on 01-08-2024. In other words, candidates born not before 02-08-1997 and not later than 01-08-2006 are eligible to apply for SSC Combined Higher Secondary Level Examination. However, candidates belonging to reserved categories viz. ST/ SC/ OBC/ PwBD Ex-Servicemen etc will receive age relaxation benefits in accordance with government regulations.

Candidates must note that the date of birth filled in the online application form and the same recorded in the Matriculation/ Secondary Examination Certificate will be accepted by the Commission for determining the age. No subsequent request for change will be considered or granted.

Application Fee For SSC Combined Higher Secondery Level Exam 2024

Application Fee of Rs. 100/- is applicable for UR and OBC candidates. However, Women candidates and candidates belonging to Scheduled Castes (SC), Scheduled Tribes (ST), Persons with Benchmark Disabilities (PwBD) and Ex-servicemen (ESM) eligible for reservation are exempted from payment of fee.

Fee can be paid online through BHIM UPI, Net Banking or by using Visa, MasterCard, Maestro, RuPay Credit or Debit cards.

How To Apply For SSC CHSL Examination 2024

Before filling-up the application form, all the candidates who wish to apply for SSC CHSL Exam 2024 will be required to generate their One-Time Registration (OTR) on the new website (https://ssc.gov.in). Subsequent to OTR, the candidates can proceed to fill the application for the examination.

1. Apply online:
• Visit SSC's new website (https://ssc.gov.in) and generate your One-Time Registration (OTR). Alternatively, check for 'Registration' link in the ''Important Links' section below that will take you directly to the Registration page.
• If you haven't registered yet, click on "Register Here" and complete the One Time Registration (OTR) process.

But before proceeding with One-Time Registration, keep the following information/ documents ready:

a. Mobile Number (to be verified through OTP)
b. Email ID (to be verified through OTP).
c. Aadhaar Number. If Aadhaar Number is not available, please give one of the following ID Numbers. (You will be required to show the original document at a later stage):
(i) Voter ID Card (ii) PAN Card (iii) Passport (iv) Driving License (v) School/ College ID (vi) Employer ID (Govt./ PSU/ Private)
d. Information about the Board, Roll Number and Year of Passing the Matriculation (10th) Examination.
e. Disability Certificate Number, if you are a person with benchmark disability.
• Login with your credentials after creating an account.

2. Fill out the application form:
• Provide your One Time Registration details including:

◦ Work Experience
◦ Scanned signature in JPEG format (10 to 20 KB).
• Ensure all the details are filled correctly and click on the "Preview" button before submitting.

3. Pay the application fee:
• The fee varies depending on the category of the applicant.
• The fee can be paid online through BHIM UPI, Net Banking or by using Visa, MasterCard, Maestro, RuPay Credit or Debit cards.

4. Submit the application:
• After previewing the application, click on "Submit" for final submission.
• You will receive an auto-generated email confirmation on your registered email id.
