APSC Junior Engineer Recruitment 2024 Eligibility Criteria

Candidates aspiring to apply for the Junior Engineer (Mechanical) post under Assam Public Service Commission (APSC) will have to fulfil the following eligibility conditions:

Citizenship:

The candidate must be an Indian Citizen as defined in Article 5 to 8 of the Constitution of India and must be a permanent resident of Assam.

(i) The candidate must have a Three year Diploma in Mechanical Engineering from any technical institute recognized by the Government.
(ii) The Diploma must be a Regular course. Diploma courses obtained through Distance Mode of Education, by whatever name called, will not be accepted.
(iii) Apart from English, the candidate should have adequate knowledge of at least 1(one) official language of the State of Assam (i.e. Assamese/ Bengali/ Bodo) except candidates belonging to Karbi Anglong Autonomous Council and Dima Hasao Autonomous Council.

APSC has decided to launch its Online Recruitment portal with the help of CSC-SPV which will charge a processing fee of Rs. 40.00/- + 18% tax = Rs. 47.20 from each candidate. This amount will be above the prescribed application fee which is indicated below:

• General : Rs. 250 + Rs. 47.20 = Rs. 297.20
• SC/ST/OBC/MOBC : Rs. 150 + Rs. 47.20 = Rs. 197.20
• BPL/PwBD : NIL + Rs. 47.20 = Rs. 47.20

To avail application fees relaxation prescribed for SC/ST/OBC/MOBC/BPL/PwBD, candidates must produce certificate of the claimed category issued by competent authority.
