APSSB CGL Exam 2024: The Arunachal Pradesh Staff Selection Board (APSSB) on behalf of the Govt. of Arunachal Pradesh has recently released an official notification inviting interested and eligible Indian citizens for recruitment to 65 sixty five) Grade- 'C' positions under various Departments and Offices in Arunachal Government.

Interested and eligible candidates who aspire for a career in Govt of Arunachal Pradesh can apply for these positions from 12 June, 2024 onwards. The deadline for submission of online application form along with the required documents is 3 July, 2024.

    Arunachal Pradesh Staff Selection Board (APSSB) will soon be conducting the Combined Graduate Level Examination (CGLE) 2024 and, therefore, is inviting intending and eligible aspirants to apply online for the same.

    Altogether there are 65 Grade 'C' posts to be filled up viz, Junior Statistical Assistant (JSA), Storekeeper, Upper Division Clerk (UDC), Librarian and Personal Assistant (Stenographer Gr-III) positions under various Arunachal Pradesh State Government Departments and Offices.


    Candidates can apply online for these various posts under APSSB CGL job vacancy from 12 June 2024 to 3 July 2024 through APSSB official website.


    1. Name of the Post: Junior Statistical Assistant (JSA)

    APSSB CGL Exam 2024 Scheme & Syllabus

    The Scheme of APSSB Combined Graduate Level examination will consist of 2 stages (Stage-1 & Stage-2) for Personal Assistant (Stenographer Gr-III) post and only Stage-2 i.e., Written Examination for JSA, Storekeeper, UDC & Librarian posts.


    Stage-1 (Stenography Proficiency Test):
    The Stenography Proficiency Test will be conducted for 5 minutes @ 80 wpm.
    a. Dictation: 5 minutes @ 80 wpm.
    b. Transcription: 45 minutes (English)
    The test shall be done on computer. An average of 5 key depressions for each word.

    Candidates are informed that further details of the Stenography Proficiency Test will be notified separately in due course.


    For Personal Assistant Post, the Stage-1 (Stenography Proficiency Test) will be a qualifying Test. Only those candidates who qualify in stage-1 shall be eligible for stage-2, i.e., written Examination.


    The Final merit list will be on the basis of Written Examination only.


    Stage-2 (Objective Type Multiple Choice questions)
    Junior Statistical Assistant/ Storekeeper/ Upper Division Clerk/ Librarian/ Personal Assistant (Stenographer Gr-III):
    Stage 2 of the examination will consist of objective type multiple-choice questions worth 200 marks, with a duration of 2 hours.

    The test will comprise of the following subjects:
    (i) General Awareness - 50 Marks
    (ii) General Intelligence & Reasoning Ability - 50 Marks
    (iii) Arithmetical & Numerical Ability - 50 Marks
    (iv) Test of English Language and Comprehension -- 50 Marks
    Total: 200 Marks

    APSSB CGL Exam Syllabus
    (a) General Awareness - 50 marks (25 questions of 2 marks each)

    Questions will be designed to test the ability of the candidate's General Awareness of the environment around him/her and its application to society. The questions will be designed to test the knowledge of Current Events and of such matter of everyday observation as may be expected of an educated person. The test will also include questions relating to History, Polity, Constitution, Sports, Art & Culture, Geography, Economics, Everyday Science, Scientific Research, National/International Organizations/Institutions, etc. State Specific questions may also be asked.


    (b) General Intelligence & Reasoning Ability - 50 marks (25 questions of 2 marks each)

    The syllabus of General Intelligence & Reasoning Ability includes questions of both verbal and non-verbal types. Test may include questions on analogies, similarities, differences, space visualization, problem solving, analysis, judgment, decision making, visual memory, discrimination, observation, relationship concepts, arithmetical reasoning, verbal and figure classification, arithmetical number series, etc. The test will also include questions designed to test the candidate's abilities to deal with abstract ideas and symbols and their relationship, arithmetical computation and other analytical functions.


    (c) Arithmetical & Numerical Ability - 50 marks (25 questions of 2 marks each)

    The test of Arithmetical and Numerical Abilities will cover Number Systems including questions on Simplification, Decimals, Data interpretation, Fractions, L.c.M., H.c.F., Ratio & proportion, Percentage, Average, Profit & Loss, Discount, Simple & compound Interest, Mensuration, Time & work, Time & Distance, Tables & Graphs.


    (d) Test of English Language and Comprehension - 50 marks (25 questions of 2 marks each)

    Questions in this component will be designed to test the candidate's understanding and knowledge of English Language and will be based on spot the error, fill in the blanks, synonyms, antonyms, spelling/ detecting misspelled words, idioms & phrases, one word substitution, improvement of sentences, active/ passive voice of verbs, conversion into direct/ indirect narration, shuffling of sentence parts, shuffling of sentences in a passage, cloze passage & comprehension passage.


    A candidate must secure a minimum of 33% or more marks in each subject in the written examination paper. Candidates securing less than 33% of marks in any of the subjects shall be deemed not eligible for selection. There is no negative markings.
