1. Name of the Post: SI (Master)

■ No. of Posts: 07 (seven)
■ Salary: Rs. 35400 - 112400/- (Level-6)
■ Age Limit: Between 22 & 28 years as on 01-07-2024 (Upper age relaxation as per Govt norms)
■ Educational/ Technical Qualifications:

i) 10+#2 or its equivalent from a recognized Board or University.
ii) 2nd class Master Certificate issued by Central/State Inland Water Transport Authority/ Mercantile Marine Department.

2. Name of the Post: SI (Engine Driver)

■ No. of Posts: 04 (four)
■ Salary: Rs. 35400 - 112400/- (Level-6)
■ Age Limit: Between 22 & 28 years as on 01-07-2024 (Upper age relaxation as per Govt norms)
■ Educational/ Technical Qualifications:

i) 10+2 or its equivalent from a recognized Board or University.
ii) 1st class Engine Driver Certificate issued by Central/State Inland Water Transport Authority/Mercantile Marine Department.

3. Name of the Post: HC (Master)

■ No. of Posts: 35 (thirty five)
■ Salary: Rs. 25500 - 81100/- (Level-4)

■ Salary: Rs. 21700 - 69100/- (Level-3)

ii) One year experience in operation of Boat below 265 HP.

Examination Fee for BSF Water Wing Recruitment 2024

BSF has fixed a certain amount as Examination Fee which has to be paid by the candidates while applying for BSF Water Wing Recruitment 2024. The fee amount is based on the candidates' category and the post they are applying for.

■ Candidates applying for Group-'B' posts will have to pay Rs. 200/- + Rs. 47.20 (service charge).
■ Candidates applying for Group-'C' posts will have to pay Rs. 100/- + Rs. 47.20 (service charge).

Selection Procedure for BSF Water Wing Recruitment 2024

Candidates applying for BSF Water Wing Recruitment 2024 will have to undergo through 2 mandatory Phases of Selection Process.

1st PHASE

Written Examination: There will be one composite paper for two hours duration. Question papers will be objective type with multiple choices on OMR based answer sheet.

Candidates will have to qualify in the written examination to appear in the 2nd Phase of the selection process.

2nd PHASE
The 2nd Phase of selection process consists of 5 Stages-

(i) Physical Standards Test (PST): Those candidates called for 2nd Phase will be put through Physical Standards Test (PST). It will be carried out by Selection Board to assess the Height, Chest and Weight of the candidates according to the applicable Physical Standards.

(ii) Physical Efficiency Test (PET): Those candidates found fit in Physical Standards Test (PST) will be put through Physical Efficiency Test (PET) as per follows, which will be qualifying in nature:-
■ One mile race in 08 minutes
■ Long Jump- 11 feet in 03 chances
■ High Jump- 03 feet & 06 inches in 03 chances

(iii) Documentation: Original testimonials/certificates of the candidate will be checked to confirm his eligibility.

(iv) Trade Test: Trade test for each post will be conducted by Selection Board to assess the knowledge and experience of candidates in respective technical filed/trade applied by them. Swimming test for Constable (Crew) will also be conducted by Selection Board.

(v) Medical _examination: Candidates who will qualify in all stages (i.e. Written Exam, PST, PET, Documentation and Trade Test) will undergo Detailed Medical Examination (DME) which will be conducted under relevant norms by a Medical officer.

NOTE: If any candidate fails to qualify in any event/ stage of 2nd Phase, he will not be allowed to participate in further stages of the Examination process.
