HCS Junior Translator Recruitment 2024: The High Court of Sikkim, Gangtok has recently released an official notification inviting eligible and intending Indian citizens for recruitment to 04 (four) Junior Translator (Group 'C') positions in the establishment.

The High Court of Sikkim is inviting eligible candidates for filling-up 04 Group 'C' posts in the establishment.

Candidates can apply offline for these Group 'C' posts under High Court of Sikkim job vacancy from 12 June 2024 to 10 July 2024.

1. Name of the Post: Junior Translator (Nepali)
No. of Posts: 01 (one)
Salary: Level-10 in the pay matrix
Essential Qualification:
(i) A Bachelor's Degree in Nepali from any recognized university.
(ii) A Diploma/Certificate Course in Translation from English to Nepali and vice-versa from any recognized educational institution (optional).
(iii) Proficiency in computer operations and knowledge of relevant office packages viz., word processing in English and Nepali languages.

2. Name of the Post: Junior Translator (Bhutia)

Salary: Level-10 in the pay matrix
Essential Qualification:
(i) A Bachelor’s Degree in Bhutia from any recognized university.
(ii) A Diploma/Certificate Course in Translation from English to Bhutia and vice-versa from any recognized educational institution (optional).
(iii) Proficiency in computer operations and knowledge of relevant office packages viz., word processing in English and Bhutia languages.

3. Name of the Post: Junior Translator (Lepcha)

Salary: Level-10 in the pay matrix
Essential Qualification:
(i) A Bachelor's Degree in Lepcha from any recognized university.
(ii) A Diploma/Certificate Course in Translation from English to Lepcha and vice-versa from any recognized educational institution (optional).
(iii) Proficiency in computer operations and knowledge of relevant office packages viz., word processing in English and Lepcha languages.

4. Name of the Post: Junior Translator (Limboo)

Salary: Level-10 in the pay matrix
Essential Qualification:
(i) A Bachelor's Degree in Limboo from any recognized university.
(ii) A Diploma/Certificate Course in Translation from English to Limboo and vice-versa from any recognized educational institution (optional).
(iii) Proficiency in computer operations and knowledge of relevant office packages viz., word processing in English and Limboo languages.

Sikkim High Court Junior Translator Age Criteria

Candidates applying for the Junior Translator post in the High Court of Sikkim must not be less than 18 years of age as on the first day of January of the recruitment year i.e., 01-01-2024 and not more than 40 years of age on the last day of submission of Application Form, i.e. 10-07-2024 which shall be uniform age for all communities of the State in the services/posts to be filled up by direct recruitment.

Relaxation of upper age limit shall be the same as may be prescribed by the State Government from time to time.

In-service employees of the High Court will be entitled for age relaxation up to 05 years for the posts to be filled by direct recruitment.

HCS Junior Translator Selection Process

Only those candidates found eligible on preliminary scrutiny shall be called for Written Examination. The list of candidates whose applications are accepted for examination shall be uploaded in the official website of High Court of Sikkim and published in local dailies.

The examinations for Junior Translator posts will be held in the following manner viz., Written Examination, Practical Test, followed by Interview/viva-voce.

Candidates securing 40% and above in the Written Examination and Practical Test (in each subject) shall only be eligible for appearing in the Interview/viva-voce. Final selection will be made on the basis of the combined marks secured by the candidates in the Written Examinations, Practical Test and Interview/viva-voce. The merit list will be prepared on the basis of over-all performance of the candidates. The final merit list will be uploaded in the official website of High Court of Sikkim as well as affixed on the Notice Boards of High Court of Sikkim.
