IAF Agniveer Vayu Vacancy 2024 Details
Under the new HR method for bringing Agniveervayu into the 'Agnipath Scheme', which gives young people a chance to experience military life for four years, the Indian Air Force is inviting unmarried Indian men and women to apply online for a selection test starting from October 18, 2024, to join the IAF as an Agniveervayu.
As per the Indian Air Force notification, The distribution of vacancies for male and female would be decided by the organization based on service requirement.
Duration of Agniveervayu Service: Agniveervayu will be enrolled in the Indian Air Force under Air Force Act 1950, for a period of FOUR years. Agniveervayu would form a distinct rank in the Indian Air Force, different from any other existing ranks.
Pay, Allowances and Allied Benefits: Agniveervayu enrolled under the Agnipath Scheme will be paid an Agniveer package of Rs. 30,000/- per month with a fixed yearly increment. In addition, Risk and Hardship allowances (as applicable in IAF), Dress and Travel allowances will be paid. Perks such as ration, clothing, accommodation and Leave Travel Concession (LTC) shall also be provided as per the existing rules.
Eligibility Conditions for IAF Agniveer Vayu Recruitment 2024
Candidates willing to apply for IAF Agniveer Vayu Recruitment 2024 should fulfil the following eligibility conditions as indicated below:
Educational Qualification Required for Agniveer Vayu Vacancy 2024
(a) Science Subjects
Candidates should have passed Intermediate/10+2/ Equivalent examination with Mathematics, Physics and English from Education Boards recognized by Central, State and UT with minimum 50% marks in aggregate and 50% marks in English.
OR
Passed Three years Diploma Course in Engineering (Mechanical / Electrical / Electronics / Automobile / Computer Science / Instrumentation Technology / Information Technology) from Central, State and UT recognized Polytechnic institute with 50% marks in aggregate and 50% marks in English in Diploma Course (or in Intermediate/Matriculation, if English is not a subject in Diploma Course).
OR
Passed Two years Vocational Course with non-vocational subject viz. Physics and Mathematics from Education Boards recognized by Central, State and UT with 50% marks in aggregate and 50% marks in English in Vocational Course (or in Intermediate / Matriculation, if English is not a subject in Vocational Course).
(b) Other than Science Subjects
Passed Intermediate / 10+2 / Equivalent Examination in any stream/subjects from Education Boards recognized by Central, State and UT with minimum 50% marks in aggregate and 50% marks in English.
OR
Passed two years Vocational Course from Education Boards recognized by Central, State and UT with minimum 50% marks in aggregate and 50% marks in English in Vocational Course (or in Intermediate / Matriculation if English is not a subject in Vocational Course).
Agniveer Vayu Recruitment 2024 Age Limit
Candidate should be born between 03 July 2004 and 03 January 2008 (Both dates inclusive) inorder to apply for IAF Agniveer Vayu post.
IAF Agniveer Vayu Intake 02 2025 Marital Status
Only unmarried Indian male and female candidates are eligible for selection as Agniveer in Indian Air Force. Candidates will have to give a certificate of being ‘unmarried’ at the time of enrolment.
Agniveer Vayu Recruitment 2024 Exam Fee
Examination fee of Rs. 550/- plus GST is to be paid online by the candidate while registering for the online examination.
The payment can be made by Debit Cards/ Credit Cards/Internet Banking through payment gateway.
Candidates are advised to follow the instructions/steps given on the payment gateway, and also print/keep transaction details for their records.
Selection Criteria for Indian Air Force Agniveer Recruitment 2024
As per the Indian Air Force notification, selection of recruits is based on the order of merit based on their performance in Phase-I and Phase-II of the selection process.
