Mizoram PSC Recruitment 2024: 29 Lab Technician, Engineer, Surveyor & Various Other Technical Posts

Mizoram PSC Recruitment 2024: The Mizoram Public Service Commission (MPSC) on behalf of the Government of Mizoram has recently released an official notification inviting eligible individuals for recruitment to 29 posts of Laboratory Technician, Junior Engineer, Surveyor, Sign Language Interpreter and Extension Officer under various Mizoram government departments.

Recruitment to the advertised posts will be done through common competitive examination with similar questions in non-technical subjects i.e. Paper - I & II but separate questions in technical subjects i.e. Paper-III & IV for each post.

MPSC Mizoram Vacancy 2024 Notification Details

Online Applications are invited from eligible aspirants for filling up the following Technical vacancies under the Government of Mizoram to be recruited by the Mizoram Public Service Commission (MPSC) as given below:

1. Name of the Post: Laboratory Technician
Department: Health &Family Welfare
No. of Posts: 02 (two)
Salary: Level-6 in the Pay Matrix
Educational Qualification: B.Sc in Medical Laboratory Technology from recognized Institution.

2. Name of the Post: Junior Engineer (Civil)
Department: Horticulture
No. of Posts: 02 (two)
Salary: Level-7 in the Pay Matrix
Educational Qualification: 3 (three) years Diploma in Civil Engineering from recognised institution.
Other Qualification: Proficiency in Auto CAD.

3. Name of the Post: Junior Engineer (Contract Basis) (Electrical)
Department: Power & Electricity
No. of Posts: 04 (four)
Salary: Level-7 in the Pay Matrix
Educational Qualification: High School leaving Certificate or Equivalent with 3 years Diploma course in Electrical from the Government’s recognised Institute.

4. Name of the Post: Surveyor
Department: Land Revenue & Settlement
No. of Posts: 15 (fifteen)
Salary: Level-6 in the Pay Matrix
Educational Qualification: Bachelor's Degree who have completed 1 (One) year survey course.

5. Name of the Post: Sign Language Interpreter
Department: Social Welfare, Tribal Affairs, Women & Child Development
No. of Posts: 01 (one)
Salary: Level-8 in the Pay Matrix
Educational Qualification: Graduate from a recognised university with diploma in Sign Language from a recognized centre (RCI approved).
Experience: Working experience in disability sector for a minimum of 1 (one) year.

6. Name of the Post: Extension Officer (HTH)
Department: Commerce & Industries
No. of Posts: 05 (five)
Salary: Level-6 in the Pay Matrix
Educational Qualification: HSSLC with 3 years Diploma Handloom / Textile / Handicraft / Garment / technology from a recognized University / Institution.

Other Eligibility Criteria for MPSC Mizoram Recruitment 2024

Besides the educational qualification mentioned above for each post, the candidate must also fulfil the following common eligibility criteria to become eligible to apply for various Group-B post under Mizoram Public Service Commission.

Age Limit for Mizoram PSC Recruitment 2024

A candidate must not be less than 18 years and not more than 37 years of age on the last date of application i.e. 9 August, 2024. The upper age limit will be relaxable as per Government of Mizoram rules.

For age proof documents, HSLC/HSSLC Certificates which clearly shows the candidate’s date of birth shall be accepted. In the absence of date of birth in such certificates, the relevant documents issued by the competent authority may be accepted.

Mizo Language Proficiency

A candidate must achieve a minimum score in the qualifying test of Mizo Language Proficiency as prescribed by the Government from time to time. However, a candidate who studied Mizo subject in Class-X standard (HSLC) or above within Mizoram or who opted for Mizo subject as MIL outside Mizoram is exempted from taking the qualifying test paper.

Computer Proficiency

Computer Proficiency as prescribed by the Mizoram Group ‘A’, ‘B’ and ‘C’ posts Service/Recruitment (Amendment) Rules, 2023.

NOTE: Documentary support to prove all eligibility conditions should not be dated later than the last date of application.

Syllabus for Recruitment to Various Technical Post in Mizoram PSC

The Syllabus for direct recruitment to the posts of Lab. Technician, Junior Engineer (Civil), Junior Engineer (Electrical), Surveyor, Sign Language Interpreter and Extension Officer (HTH) under Mizoram Public Service Commission shall comprise of the following Papers:

1. Paper-I : General English : 100 Marks (3 hours)
2. Paper – II : General Knowledge (MCQ) : 100 Marks (2 hours)
3. Paper – III : Technical Subject (MCQ) : 200 Marks (2 hours)
4. Paper – IV : Technical Subject (MCQ) : 200 Marks (2 hours)

Total of Written Examination : 600 Marks

5. Personal Interview : 80 Marks

Total : 680 Marks

Syllabus on Papers I & II shall be common for all the Posts mentioned in the Advertisement referred above. However, syllabuses on Technical subjects for the said posts are disparate and based on education qualification required for each post. Besides, except for the post of Extention Officer under Commerce & Industries Department all other posts have Technical Paper – IV in their respective syllabus.
