NEC Shillong Recruitment 2024: The North Eastern Council Secretariat, Shillong, Meghalaya has recently released an official notification inviting applications in prescribed format from eligible candidates for recruitment to 06 (six) Consultant & Junior Consultant positions under the Council.
The recruitment to the advertised posts will be done through off-line submission of application form.

NEC Shillong Vacancy 2024 Details
Offline Applications in prescribed format are invited from eligible aspirants for filling up the following vacancies under the Ministry of Development of NER, Government of Meghalaya to be recruited by the North Eastern Council Secretariat, Shillong as given below:
1. Name of the Post: Consultant
No. of Posts: 03 (three)
Salary: Rs. 50000/- per month
Age Limit: Minimum 25 years & maximum 50 years as on 01-01-2024 (Upper age relaxation is applicable for SC/ST/OBC candidates as par Govt of Meghalaya norms)
Educational Qualification & Experience:
T&C (3 post)-
• B-Tech/BE in Civil Engineering from recognized universities/institutions.
• More than 3(three) years of experience after graduation in the field of Roads/Bridges/Buildings & other similar works of Civil Engineering.
• Minimum 6(Six) months of exposure to the Planning/Monitoring/Execution/DPR scrutiny of hill roads and its other appurtenances work.
2. Name of the Post: Junior Consultant
No. of Posts: 03 (three)
Salary: Rs. 37000/- per month
Age Limit: Minimum 25 years & maximum 45 years as on 01-01-2024 (Upper age relaxation is applicable for SC/ST/OBC candidates as par Govt of Meghalaya norms)
Educational Qualification & Experience:
1. Planning (2 posts)-
(i) MA/M.Sc in Economics or M.Sc in Statistics/Mathematics or M.Tech (Electronics and Communication), M.Sc (IT) or MCA (Computer Science).
(ii) Candidates having MA/MSc in Economics or M.Sc in Statistics/Mathematics should possess computer application certificate course from any reputed institute recognized by the State/Central Government authorities concerned.
(iii) Candidates should possess experience of handling statistical data and analysis for period of one (1) year in any central Govt. Office.
2. T&C (1 post)-
• B-tech/BE in Civil Engineering from recognized universities/institutions.
• More than 2(two) years of experience after graduation in the field of Roads/Bridges/Buildings & other similar works of Civil Engineering.
• Minimum 6(Six) months of exposure to the Planning/Monitoring/Execution/DPR scrutiny of hill roads and its other appurtenances work.
