Transport Department Assam Recruitment 2024 Eligibility Criteria
Candidates aspiring to apply for the Enforcement Inspector post under Transport Department, Government of Assam will have to fulfil the following eligibility conditions:
Citizenship:
The candidate must be an Indian Citizen as defined in Article 5 to 8 of the Constitution of India and must be a permanent resident of Assam.
the candidate must upload a copy of the valid Permanent Resident Certificate (PRC) issued in Assam for educational purpose/Employment Exchange Registration Certificate will be treated as proof of residency.
Age Limit for Transport Department Assam Recruitment:
Candidates willing to apply for the Enforcement Inspector Job Vacancy under Transport Department Assam should not be less than 21 years of age and not more than 38 years of age as on 01-01-2024.
The upper age limit is relaxable for reserved categories as per Govt of Assam rules.
- (i) By 5 (five) years for SC/ST candidates, i.e. upto 43 years.
- (ii) By 3 (three) years for oBC/MOBC candidates i.e. upto 41 years.
- (iii) For Ex-Servicemen, the maximum age shall be 50 (fifty) years as on 01-01-2024 for Unreserved category. Relaxable further by 3 (three) years for oBC/MOBC candidates and 5 (five) years for SC/ST candidates.
The age limit of the candidates will be calculated on the basis of the Class-X/Class-XII examination Admit Card/Pass Certificate/Marksheet issued by a recognized Central/ State Board/Council where Age/Date of Birth (DOB) is clearly reflected. No other document shall be accepted in lieu of the above mentioned documents for age proof.

Educational Qualification Required for Enforcement Inspector Post:
Candidate aspiring to apply for the Enforcement Inspector post under Transport Department Assam Recruitment 2024 must possess a Degree in Arts/Science or Commerce of a University recognized by the Govt. of Assam or HSSLC with 3 (three) years Diploma in Automobile or Mechanical Engineering from a recognised Institute of Govt. of Assam/Govt. of India and also duly recognised by AICTE.
He/She must upload all relevant semester/year mark sheet reflecting the subjects and the final pass certificate while filling-up the online application form.
Application Fee for Assam Transport Department Job Vacancy 2024
APSC has decided to launch its Online Recruitment portal with the help of CSC-SPV which will charge a processing fee of Rs. 40.00/- + 18% tax = Rs. 47.20 from each candidate. This amount will be above the prescribed application fee which is indicated below:
- • General/EWS : Rs. 250 + Rs. 47.20 = Rs. 297.20
- • SC/ST/OBC/MOBC : Rs. 150 + Rs. 47.20 = Rs. 197.20
- • BPL : NIL + Rs. 47.20 = Rs. 47.20
To avail application fees relaxation prescribed for SC/ST/OBC/MOBC/BPL, candidates must produce certificate of the claimed category issued by competent authority.
