DSC Shillong Recruitment 2024 Vacancy Details
DSC East Khasi Hills, Shillong is inviting eligible candidates for recruitment to various 823 posts. Preference will be given to local candidates residing permanently in East Khasi Hills District, Meghalaya.
1. Name of the Post: Stenographer-III
No. of Posts: 05 (UR-04, KJ/G-01)
Salary: Pay Level-8 (As per Revised pay structure)
Essential Qualification: Class XII passed/ Graduate with Certificate in Stenography & Certificate in Computer application
■ Class XII passed: 02 posts ■ Graduate: 03 posts
2. Name of the Post: Lower Division Assistant Cum Typist
No. of Posts: 220 (UR-30, KJ/G-186, OST/SC-04)
Salary: Pay Level-5 (As per Revised pay structure)
Essential Qualification: Matriculation/ SSLC passed with Certificate in Computer application, with a minimum speed of 30 w.p.m. (to be ascertained in the technical speed test)
3. Name of the Post: Gram Sevak/ Gram Sevika
No. of Posts:
■ Gram Sevak (Both Male & Female) - 39 (UR-06, KJ/G-31, OST/SC-02)
■ Gram Sevika (Only Female) - 06 (UR-01, KJ/G-05)
Salary: Pay Level-5 (As per Revised pay structure)
Essential Qualification: Matriculation/SSLC Passed.
Every person appointed to the post will undergo the training for Gram Sevaks/Gram Sevikas.
4. Name of the Post: Stenographer
No. of posts: 03 [UR-01, KJ/G-02]
Salary: Pay Level-4 (As per Revised pay structure)
Essential Qualification: Class XII/HSSLC Passed with Certificate in Short Hand & Computer Application.
5. Name of the Post: Driver
No. of posts: 61 [UR-11, KJ/G-50]
Salary: Pay Level-3 (As per Revised pay structure)
Essential Qualification: Class VIII passed with a valid Professional Driving License from the concerned District Transport Officer.
6. Name of the Post: Enumerator
No. of posts: 13 [UR-02, KJ/G-11]
Salary: Pay Level-2 (As per Revised pay structure)
Essential Qualification: Matriculation/SSLC Passed.
7. Name of the Post: Forest Guard
No. of posts: 59 [UR-08, KJ/G-49, OST/SC-02)

Essential Qualification: SSLC Passed and above or equivalent examination from recognized boards. Candidates must possess the minimum prescribed physical standard/ fitness.
8. Name of the Post: Grade-IV

Salary: Pay Level-1 (As per Revised pay structure)
Essential Qualification: Class VI Passed.

Age Limit for DSC East Khasi Hills Recruitment 2024
As per the DSC East Khasi Hills notification, the age of the candidate applying for the various above listed posts (except Forest Guard post) should not be less than 18 years and not more than 32 years as on 1st January, 2024. For Forest Guard post, the age limit is 18 years - 30 years.
However, there is a relaxation of 5 years in the upper age limit for candidates belonging to scheduled Caste and Scheduled Tribe Community.
Upper age relaxation for PwD candidates will be as per Office Memorandum No.PER(AR) 150/88/560 Dated Shillong, the 18" January, 2023.

Application Fee for DSC Shillong Recruitment 2024
Candidates intending to apply for the various posts in DSC Shillong Recruitment 2024 shall have to pay application fee of Rs. 100/- (Rupees one hundred) only. However, candidates belonging to ST/SC categories shall have to pay Rs. 50/- (Rupees fifty) only as application fee.
The application fee should be paid online using the following mode of payment:

- (ii) E-Chailan.
- (iii) UPI
For Persons with Benchmark Disabilities (PWDs), application fee is exempted. PWDs candidates are required to furnish their Disability Certificate, as and when required.
