Guwahati Municipal Corporation Recruitment 2024: The Guwahati Municipal Corporation (GMC) has recently released an official notification inviting applications from eligible candidates for filling up of 60 (sixty) existing vacancies in the rank of Municipal Corporation Police (MCP) on contractual basis.
Interested and eligible candidates who aspire for a Government job in Guwahati, can apply for the Municipal Corporation Police posts from 1 August, 2024 onwards. The deadline for submission of application form along with the required documents has been extended till 10 September, 2024.

Applications are invited from eligible candidates for filling up the following vacancy under Guwahati Municipal Corporation:
Name of the Post: Municipal Corporation Police (MCP)
No. of Posts: 60 (sixty)
Salary: Rs. 12,000/- per month
Eligibility Criteria for Guwahati Municipal Corporation Recruitment 2024
Candidate intending to apply for the Municipal Corporation Police posts under Guwahati Municipal Corporation Recruitment shall have to fulfil certain conditions to become eligible to apply for the post.
Nationality
Candidates must be Indian Citizen, permanent resident of Assam. Selected candidates will have to submit Proof of Residence after publication of the final select list.
Age Limit
Candidates should not be less than 18 years and more than 30 years of Age as on 1st Jan 2024.

Educational Qualification
The candidates must have passed Higher Secondary School Leaving Certificate (HSSLC) or equivalent standard of recognized institution.
Physical Standard Required for GMC Municipal Corporation Police Post
Aspirants should possess certain physical standard to become eligible to apply for Municipal Corporation Police post under GMC Guwahati Recruitment drive.
• Minimum height (Male): 162.56 cm
• Minimum height (Female): 154.94 cm.
• Chest measurement (Male): 80 cm (normal) & 85 cm (expanded)
How To Apply For Guwahati Municipal Corporation Police Job Vacancy
Candidates are advised to carefully go through the eligible criteria prescribed for the post such as educational qualification, age, physical standards, etc and satisfy themselves that they are eligible for the post before applying.
Applications (in hard copies only) must be submitted on or before 31" August 2024 at the Drop Box in the Office of the Guwahati Municipal Corporation, Personnel Branch, 2nd Floor. Uzanbazar, Guwahati-781001.

Documents to be attached with the Application:
- (i) Certificate of proof of age (Admit Card/ Certificate of HSSLC or equivalent examination).
- (ii) Mark Sheet of HSSLC examination.
- (iii) Pass Certificate of HSSLC.
Selection Procedure for Guwahati Municipal Corporation Police Recruitment
The candidates whose applications are found correct in all respects will be called for a written test and shortlisted candidates from written test will be called for a Physical Standard Test (PST) and Physical Efficiency Test (PET) and then Personality Test/ Viva Voce.
It is however, notified that a limited number of candidates will be shortlisted for PST/ PET/ Viva Voce by the comnpetent authority based on written test.
Candidates have to appear in all stages of recruitment. If a candidate is absent from any stage/ event; his/her candidature will be cancelled.
