The Nagaland Staff Selection Board (NSSB) has unveiled a unique opportunity for the indigenous youth belonging to 6 Eastern Tribes of Nagaland with the announcement of NSSB Special Recruitment Examination (SRE) 2024. NSSB Special Recruitment Exam 2024: The Nagaland Staff Selection Board (NSSB), Kohima has released an official notification inviting online applications from eligible and intending youth belonging to 6 Eastern Tribes of Nagaland viz. Konyak, Phom, Sangtam, Chang, Khiamniungan & Yimkhiung/Tikhir for filling up of 12 various Group 'C' vacancies under the Office of the Engineer-in-Chief, NPWD, Government of Nagaland through NSSB Special Recruitment Examination (SRE) 2024.
Interested and eligible candidates who aspire for a Government job in Nagaland can apply online for the NSSB SRE from 3 August, 2024 onwards. The deadline for submission of the online application form along with the required documents is 30 August, 2024.

NSSB Special Recruitment Exam 2024 Vacancy Details
Online Applications are invited from Indigenous Inhabitants of 6 Eastern Tribes of Nagaland for filling up the following Group C vacancies under the Government of Nagaland to be recruited by the Nagaland Staff Selection Board (NSSB) as given below:
1. Name of the Post: Electrician
Post Code: SRE-01
No. of Posts: 01 (one)
Salary: Level-6 in the pay matrix
Minimum Educational Qualification: Class 8 passed with 1 year Certificate course in Electrical trade from a recognised Institute
2. Name of the Post: Sectional Assistant
Post Code: SRE-02
No. of Posts: 07 (seven)
Salary: Level-5 in the pay matrix
Minimum Educational Qualification: HSLC
3. Name of the Post: Tracer
Post Code: SRE-03
No. of Posts: 03 (three)
Salary: Level-4 in the pay matrix
Minimum Educational Qualification: HSLC
4. Name of the Post: Carpenter
Post Code: SRE-04
No. of Posts: 01 (one)
Salary: Level-3 in the pay matrix
Minimum Educational Qualification: Class 8 passed with 1 year Certificate course in Carpenter trade from a recognised Institute
A candidate may exercise option for as many Post as possible, subject to fulfilment of educational qualification.

Aspirants intending to apply for NSSB SRE 2024 must fulfil the age criteria condition laid down by the Board so as to be eligible for recruitment.
One must be between 21 years and 30 years of age as on 1st January, 2024 inorder to be eligible to apply for NSSB Special Recruitment Examination- (SRE) 2024.

The upper age limit is relaxable by:
(i) 5(five) years for candidates belonging to ST.
(ii) Age concession for serving Government employees will be allowed, the equal number of years they are in service subject to a maximum of 5(five) years.
Venue of Written Exam for NSSB Special Recruitment Exam 2024
Candidates can choose 2 (TWO) venue/centre of examination basing on the District of his/her choice:
1. Chumoukedima 2. Dimapur 3. Kohima 4. Mon 5. Tuensang
The examination for the posts of Electrician and Carpenter shall be conducted only in Kohima district.
While filling-up the online application form, candidate will have the option to choose 2 (two) venue/centre of examination basing on the District of his/her choice.
However, in Districts where there are less than 500 applicants, the candidates will be shifted to the second option exercised. In exam districts exceeding the maximum capacity of applicants allotted in case of both options exercised / both options disabled, the Board has the right to select the exam district independently irrespective of options exercised by the candidate.
Examination Fee for NSSB Special Recruitment Exam 2024
Candidates applying for NSSB SRE 2024 shall have to pay an examination fee of Rs. 300/- (Rupees Three Hundred) only.
This examination fee has to be paid via online mode.
Mode of Examination for NSSB Nagaland SRE 2024
The mode of NSSB Special Recruitment Examination will be as follows:
Group I
For the posts of Sectional Assistant & Tracer
General Paper (MCQ type) : 200 marks
Group II
For the posts of Electrician & Carpenter
1. Technical paper : 200 marks
2. Skill Test in the trade : 50 marks
Viva Voce shall be 5% of the total marks.
Documents Required to Apply for NSSB Nagaland Recruitment 2024
Candidates must produce attested/self-attested photocopies of the following documents/materials to the Board as and when called for:
- (i) Class 8 Pass Certificate/HSLC/Matriculation/Equivalent Admit Card for proof of Date of Birth. No other Certificate will be accepted for age proof.
- (ii) Indigenous Inhabitant Certificate, Scheduled Tribe Certificate, Backward Tribe Certificates as relevant and applicable (New Format).
- (iii) Proof of Educational Qualifications: Mark Sheets & Pass Certificates/Provisional Pass certificates from Class 8/matriculation onwards till requisite qualification. If for any reason pass certificates/ provisional pass certificates is not issued by the Board/ Institute/University, a letter/certificate to that effect from the Board/Institute/University must be submitted.
- (iv) No Objection Certificate (NOC) in original from the Head of Department/Public Undertaking to be furnished in case the applicant is an employee of the Government or Public Undertaking. The signing authority shall be the Head of Department only.
