SCERT Assam Lecturer Salary

The selected candidates for the lecturer positions in both the Institutes of Advanced Studies in Education (IASE) and Colleges of Teacher Education (CTE) under the Directorate of SCERT, Assam, will receive a pay scale as per the Assam State Government norms. The details are as follows:

• Basic Pay: Rs. 30,000 to Rs. 1,10,000 per month.
• Grade Pay: Rs. 13,300 per month.
• Pay Band: 4 (PB-4)

In addition to the basic pay and grade pay, lecturers will be eligible for other allowances as per the rules and regulations of the Government of Assam.

Eligibility Criteria for SCERT Assam Lecturer Recruitment 2024

Candidates aspiring to apply for the Lecturer posts in IASE and CTE under the Directorate of SCERT, Assam, will have to fulfil the following eligibility conditions:

Citizenship:

The candidate must be an Indian Citizen as defined in Article 5 to 8 of the Constitution of India and must be a permanent resident of Assam.

the candidate must upload a copy of the valid Permanent Resident Certificate (PRC) issued in Assam for educational purpose/Employment Exchange Registration Certificate will be treated as proof of residency.

Age Limit for SCERT Assam Recruitment:

Candidates willing to apply for the Lecturer vacancies under SCERT Assam should not be less than 21 years of age and not more than 38 years of age as on 01-01-2024.

The upper age limit is relaxable for reserved categories as per Govt of Assam rules.

(i) By 5 (five) years for SC/ST candidates, i.e. upto 43 years.
(ii) By 3 (three) years for oBC/MOBC candidates i.e. upto 41 years.
(iii) By 10 (ten) years for Persons with benchmark disability (PWBD) irrespective of their category.

The age limit of the candidates will be calculated on the basis of the Class-X/Class-XII examination Admit Card/Pass Certificate/Marksheet issued by a recognized Central/ State Board/Council where Age/Date of Birth (DOB) is clearly reflected. No other document shall be accepted in lieu of the above mentioned documents for age proof.

Qualification Required for SCERT Assam Lecturer Posts:

(i) A Masters Degree in concerned subject with minimum 55% marks or equivalent grade from any recognized University.
(ii) M. Ed, with minimum 55% marks or equivalent grade from any recognized University.
(iiii) NET/SLET from UGC or Ph.D. in Education or in the concerned subject from any recognized University,

He/She must upload all relevant semester/year mark sheet reflecting the subjects and the final pass certificate while filling-up the online application form.

Experience/ Preference:

(i) At least 3 years experience of teaching in Secondary School/TEI.
(ii) Proficiency in the use of ICT for educational purpose.
(iii) Ph.D. in relevant subjects from any recognized University.

Application Fee for SCERT Assam Lecturer Job Vacancy 2024

APSC has decided to launch its Online Recruitment portal with the help of CSC-SPV which will charge a processing fee of Rs. 40.00/- + 18% tax = Rs. 47.20 from each candidate. This amount will be above the prescribed application fee which is indicated below:

• General/EWS : Rs. 250 + Rs. 47.20 = Rs. 297.20
• SC/ST/OBC/MOBC : Rs. 150 + Rs. 47.20 = Rs. 197.20
• BPL : NIL + Rs. 47.20 = Rs. 47.20
• PwBD : NIL + Rs. 47.20 = Rs. 47.20

To avail application fees relaxation prescribed for SC/ST/OBC/MOBC/BPL/PwBD, candidates must produce certificate of the claimed category issued by competent authority.
