Assistant Director Salary in Assam SCERT
The selected candidates for the Assistant Director positions in the Assam SCERT under the Department of School Education will receive a pay scale as per the Assam State Government norms. The details are as follows:
• Basic Pay: Rs. 30,000 to Rs. 1,10,000 per month.
• Grade Pay: Rs. 13,900 per month.
• Pay Band: 4 (PB-4)
In addition to the basic pay and grade pay, Assistant Directors under Assam SCERT will be eligible for other allowances as per the rules and regulations of the Government of Assam.
Eligibility Criteria for Assam SCERT Assistant Director Recruitment 2024
Candidates aspiring to apply for the Assistant Director vacancy in SCERT Assam Recruitment 2024 will have to fulfil the following eligibility conditions:
Citizenship
The candidate must be an Indian Citizen as defined in Article 5 to 8 of the Constitution of India and must be a permanent resident of Assam.
the candidate must upload a copy of the valid Permanent Resident Certificate (PRC) issued in Assam for educational purpose/Employment Exchange Registration Certificate will be treated as proof of residency.
Age Limit
Candidates willing to apply for the posts of Assistant Director in Assam SCERT vacancy should be between 21 years and 38 years of age as on 1st January 2024. Age relaxations for reserved categories are applicable as follows:
- • SC/ST: 5 years (up to 43 years)
- • OBC/MOBC: 3 years (up to 41 years)

- • M.Ed. or B.Ed. with 55% marks, or an M.A. in Education.
- • NET/SLET or a Ph.D. is mandatory for most of the posts.
- • Relevant work experience (usually 1-5 years) in curriculum development or teaching.

Application Fee for APSC Assistant Director Job Vacancy 2024
APSC has launched its Online Recruitment portal with the help of CSC-SPV which will charge a processing fee of Rs. 40.00/- + 18% tax = Rs. 47.20 from each candidate. This amount will be above the prescribed application fee which is indicated below:
- • General : Rs. 250 + Rs. 47.20 = Rs. 297.20
- • SC/ST/OBC/MOBC : Rs. 150 + Rs. 47.20 = Rs. 197.20
- • BPL : NIL + Rs. 47.20 = Rs. 47.20
- • PwBD: NIL + Rs. 47.20 = Rs. 47.20
To avail application fees relaxation prescribed for SC/ST/OBC/MOBC/BPL/PwBD, candidates must produce certificate of the claimed category issued by competent authority.
