Eligibility Criteria for Teaching Faculty Job Vacancy in Meghalaya
Interested candidates must meet specific eligibility standards based on the National Medical Commission (NMC) Teachers Eligibility Qualifications (TEQ) 2022.
Associate Professor:
- • Assistant Professor in Anatomy for four years in a recognized medical college. It is mandatory to have a minimum of two Research publications in Indexed/ national journal.
- • Provided that these research publications are published / accepted for publication in the journals by the National Association / Societies of the respective specialties as the first author / second author.
- • Further, provided that the requirement of two research publications for promotion to the post of Associate Professor should be fulfilled with two research publication must be published during the tenure of Assistant Professor.
- • Should have completed the Basic Course in Medical Education Technology (CBME) from institutions designated by NMC.
- • Should have completed the Basic Course in Biomedical Research (BCBR) from Institutions designated by NMC.
Professor:
- • Associate Professor in the subject for three years in a permitted/ recognized medical college/ institution.
- • Should have at least four Research publications (at least two as Associate Professor) [only original papers, meta-analysis, systematic reviews, and case series that are published in journals indexed in Medline, PubMed, Central Science Citation Index, Science Citation Index, Expanded Embase, Scopus, Directory of Open Access Journals (DoAJ) will be considered].
- • Should have completed the Basic Course in Medical Education Technology from Institutions designated by NMC.
- • Should have completed the Basic Course in Biomedical Research from Institutions designated by NMC.
Educational Qualification
A candidate should possess any of the following educational qualification:
MD/MS/DNB in the concerned subject.OR
MSc with PhD in the preclinical subjects like Anatomy, Physiology or Biochemistry.
